Pulsar 125 review

Image
Back in the early 2000s the Indian automobile industry saw a shift similar to what we are observing today. The only difference is that right now manufacturers are on a war footing to launch BSVI-compliant products, though back then the race was on to launch four-stroke products to replace the smelly, smoky two-strokes that had ruled the roost towards the end of the last millennium. Bajaj Auto had launched the Pulsar 150 and 180 back then, which were no less than a ray of hope for those who thought the end of the two-stroke era me ant the end of affordable performance motorcycles. Back then the Pulsars had everything enthusiasts could ask for, like a good balance between sportiness and commuting abilities and an aggressive design language that was new to most enthusiasts. Advertise he rest as we know it is history, given the kind of success the Pulsars have enjoyed for nearly two decades now. In fact, over the years Bajaj has tried different iterations of the Pulsar ranging from t...

2021 Bajaj Pulsar N250 and F250 road test review: Best Pulsar yet ? 2021 Bajaj Pulsar N250 and F250 road test review: It is claimed to be the biggest Pulsar yet. But is it the best? Pulsar 250 by Bajaj has been introduced in two variants - Pulsar N250 and Pulsar F250 Bajaj Auto  recently made one of the biggest announcements for the year with the introduction of the new Pulsar 250. The new quarter-litre Pulsar carries the torch forward and leads the charge for the range. It is a big update after the previous Pulsar NS200 platform was introduced by Bajaj almost nine years back Interestingly, Bajaj claims that every bit that has gone into the Pulsar 250 is new, but it still comes built on the same typical Pulsar DNA that has ruled hearts worldwide. I was recently invited to Pune for a quick test ride on the new Pulsar 250 twins and here is what I found. Dripping modernity: The Pulsar 250 has matured gracefully and turned more modern when compared to all the pre-existing bikes in the ...

Pulsar 125cc and 150cc range likely to get updated

Image
Pulsar 125cc and 150cc range likely to get updated  New-gen Bajaj Pulsars will get an overhauled design along with new features and an updated engine The Pulsar range of motorcycles received a fresh breath of life when Bajaj launched two new flagship Pulsar models in the form of Pulsar N250 and Pulsar F250. The series of sporty commuter motorcycles recently completed two decades in the Indian market and has reached cult status for enthusiastic riders on a budget. However, competition in recent years has stiffened with TVS pulling new tricks with its Apache brand of motorcycles. Some of the smaller Pulsars now appear to be outdated since they haven’t received a major upgrade in many years. Bajaj, however, has regularly provided all its models with small cosmetic and feature updates. New-Gen Pulsar Range Currently, the Chakan-based bikemaker retails a bunch of Pulsar models with different engine displacements including 125, 150, 180, 220F, NS125, NS160, NS200 and RS200. At the launch...

Image
2022 Aprilia SR160 Spotted Undisguised; Gets Few Changes 2022 Aprilia SR160 pics have surfaced that reveal the cosmetic changes the sports scoot will get. It is just days away from launch… Aprilia seems to be almost ready with its 2022 SR160 for the Indian market. After a few on-road camouflaged spy pics, the sports scooter has been caught absolutely undisguised at some dealer yard, revealing changes. The updated version will come with a new face – that has a changed front apron as well as fresh LED headlamps and DRLs. As you can see the graphics have also been changed and that has made the scooter look fresher. Also notice that there is a new housing for the handlebar. The seat has been re-done; there is carbon fiber finish on the front mudguard and we can also notice a single-piece pillion grab rail. From a semi-digital instrument cluster, it will now transition to a full digital unit that is very similar to the maxi-scooter SXR160. We do not expect significant changes to the e...

The 2022 Bajaj Pulsar 150 will be an all-new product

Image
The 2022 Bajaj Pulsar 150 will be an all-new product Bajaj Auto is expected to launch the new generation Pulsar 150 and 200 in 2022. These motorcycles will be based on the new platform introduced in the F250 and N250 models that were launched recently. In August, Managing Director of Bajaj Auto, Rajiv Bajaj, had revealed that once the new 250cc Pulsars were introduced, the smaller Pulsars will follow suit “over the next 12 months”. He had termed it “…our biggest product move in the near future.” Recently, at the launch of the 250cc Pulsars, Rajiv Bajaj stated that new generation 150cc or 200cc Pulsars are under consideration at the moment. Thus, one can speculate (with confidence) that in 2022, Bajaj will likely introduce the next-generation Pulsar 150, followed by the Pulsar 200. Bajaj currently sells the Pulsar in 125, 150, 180, 220F, NS125, NS160, NS200 and RS200 guises, apart from the F250 and N250, of course. It is not clear if the Pulsar 180 and 220F will survive and it see...
